About Crane Repair Service

Accreditations

We pride ourselves on being safe and well educated.  We keep current on crane codes and ensure we are properly certified.  We adhere to codes under ANSI/ASME, MSHA, Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy, Washington State LNI, and a few others.  We have an NQA-1 Nuclear safety plan and follow a PICS safety and drug testing program to meet refinery requirements.  We have been granted access to port piers using TWIC cards and military bases using RapidGATE.

Our professional memberships and certifications include Crane Certifiers Association of America (CCAA), and National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).  We are federal and state accredited with Federal OSHA (shore based) and a Washington State LNI Accredited Construction Crane Certifier.

We have worked with city, county, state, public works, military, ports & maritime operations and various other industrial sectors. We are registered with many key supply chain programs and organizations such as CCR and ORCA so that when you call to have work done, we can quickly dispatch our technicians to perform work on your cranes. We are insured to perform maritime work, up to, but not including floating cranes.

Our Shop

In 2010 we purchased and converted 1.25 acres in the Puyallup Valley into a state-of-the-art crane care facility.  Our new location offers easy on/off freeway access to I-5 via Fife or 512/167 via Puyallup.  Inside, we have a lovely new office with a comfortable waiting area where our friendly staff and cat greet you, and can offer you a fresh cup of coffee. Outside, our secure yard and shops have room to inspect or repair multiple pieces of equipment or cranes simultaneously.  Our [load test facility] is regularly testing a variety of spreaders bars, lift fixtures and other various below the hook devices.

History - More than 20 years in business

In 1991 Lance had a dream: to assemble a team of experts in the maintenance, repair and construction of cranes and industrial equipment.  He has worked many years in the marine industry.  As a small child, this man has always dreamed big, loved all kinds of water, especially the ocean.  Starting his first business at age 21, Industrial Underwater Services, he spent the first half of his career in the water as an industrial diver, teacher, and inventor.  Always a trailblazer, he moved into the crane industry and began by building crane cabs and installing custom equipment.  Safety is of paramount importance and the inspection services were a natural extension to keep people and equipment safe.   He’s worked all over the country, repairing cranes from east coast to west coast.

Crane repair Service focuses on large and small businesses.  In 2011, we celebrated 20 years of service.  We keep the pillars of the industrial sector running safely, properly, and efficiently.  Through Lance’s membership on the CCAA board and as part of the NCCCO task force, we’re helping to form and improve crane regulations and standards for all.

We have installed crane rail using thermite welding techniques. Lance is one of the few people in the industry who knows how to properly apply thermite welding on overhead rail.  We have worked on several dams, in nuclear facilities, and refineries.

We are a forward thinking company.  We are early adopters of technology and ideas that we see fit the crane industry.  We perform inspections on mobile electronic devices, RFID tag cranes & equipment we inspect, and offer you the chance to track and view your inspections online almost immediately following the completion of inspection.
