With rising insurance costs and stringent industry guidelines, many companies are beginning to take crane operator training much more seriously.
Untrained crane operators risk injuring themselves or co-workers, and damaging equipment or product. These costs can be staggering compared to the cost of proper training.
WISHA requires crane operators to have “adequate experience and training under the supervision of a competent operator, or by crane repairmen or inspectors.” (WAC 296-24-23529 (1))
Crane Repair Service, a
state-accredited crane
inspection company,
offers operator training
to teach employees to be
safer by teaching correct
operation of bridge, jib
and gantry cranes. Proper
equipment safety and
rigging techniques are
taught in both lassroom
and hands-on settings.
